Bio: Beautiful, brindly Boogs, loves her people fiercely. She can be anxious in new situations, when left alone and around unfamiliar people, but she is protective of those she loves and once introduced to someone she is fine with accepting them. She may come across fierce, but that is her reaction to something new. Boogs loves being outdoors and going for walks – both for physical exercise as well as to just take in all the sights and smells.
She is good with kids, but due to her being still young, she can get excited at times and accidentally knock a little one over in her excitement. She currently is living with kids ranging from toddlers to teenagers. Training her is really great as she is very intelligent, and very food/treat motivated. We aren’t sure how she does with other dogs, but is good with cats, small and big children. She prefers a female as her leader and can take some time to warm up to male persons. (We think this is perhaps something from a bad experience from her past).
Boogs would make a great companion animal for someone looking for a loyal friend; with patience, understanding, and some extra love she’ll quickly become part of your pack! With her perfect combination of intelligence, protectiveness, and affectionate nature (she loves to hug and sneak in and cuddle with you) – there’s no doubt that Boogs will find her forever home. To no fault of her own, Boogs current foster family, due to circumstances, is unable to continue fostering her. Boogs is seeking a foster and preferably forever home.
